Dr. Oneka Samet
About
Dr. Oneka Samet is a dedicated librarian, researcher, and leader with a career spanning over 19 years in higher education and public library systems. She currently serves as a Librarian at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where she focuses on empowering students through access to information and encouraging engagement and learning about innovative technology. Prior to this, Dr. Samet was the Assistant Director of Library Services for Clay County overseeing programming, outreach, and staff training. As Associate Provost at Wayne County Community College District, Dr. Samet chaired the Curriculum Committee, managed district-wide budgets, and developed innovative e-learning solutions. Her expertise includes curriculum development, facilitation, and instructional technology, with certifications as a Blackboard Practitioner and Specialist.
